Water Baby Dolls - Only Look IF You Are Willing to Give them BOTH a Bath. Seriously.

Condition: Susie - Good condition. Mae, not so much.

Means2Me Story: Well, pictures don't always tell a thousand words. Every once in a while, they need some context. 

Here goes:

• When I was growing up, there were not a lot of ethnic dolls.
• My grandmother bought me these two ladies to keep me company in the tub when I was a toddler.
• I LOVE these dolls. If I had anyone in my family to leave them to, I would. That is not, however, the case.
• Susie, the standing doll, is in pretty good shape considering she is more than fifty years old. She is clean with little to no water damage anywhere. And let's face it: she's as cute as the dickens. Even though I don't know what a dickens is.
• Mae, on the other hand, has seen better days. All of her is in good shape, EXCEPT for her bum. Which is...well, bummy. It shows signs of water damage. BUT she has been cleaned with baking soda and alcohol. She's not dirty, she's just had a lot of fun sitting on the beach (side of the bathtub.) I know this may be off-putting, to say the least, but give her a chance.

These two are a bonded pair and shouldn't be separated. I am lowering the cost to purchase because I know you may need a bit of incentive.

Honestly, as with anything in my collection, it's almost impossible to quantify what the items meant to me. They're memories. Good ones. Treasured ones.
